Ryan Black is widely recognized as one of Washington, DC’s top realtime and technical court reporting experts, with a career spanning over 25 years. His dedication to precision, efficiency, and exceptional service has made him a trusted resource for attorneys, court reporting agencies, and legal professionals across North America.

Ryan began his career in 1996 as an official court reporter for the Court of Common Pleas of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Over the next decade, he honed his skills in the courtroom. His hard work and expertise led to his promotion to Chief Official Court Reporter, where he managed a team of 20 official court reporters and two support staff. In this role, Ryan was responsible for scheduling reporters to support a Bench of 14 full-time judges, ensuring compliance with state-mandated transcript deadlines, and overseeing the office’s financial and administrative operations.

By 2013, Ryan established himself as an independent court reporter, offering his services to top-tier law firms and court reporting agencies. Today, he is highly sought after for his ability to manage large, intricate cases with precision and professionalism. Ryan’s expertise includes providing realtime court reporting services via loaner iPads, delivering immediate rough draft transcripts within minutes of a deposition’s conclusion, and offering daily expedited final transcript services.
